Porbandar's cricketer, future star for India ?


Saurastra's right arm off break bowler Niraj Odedra was the quickest wicket taker in Indian county games in year 2000. Niraj born in porbandar and son of former cricketer Mr Ram bhai Odedra who is just playing in his third county season and in just 18 games have taken 64 wickets already and scored 129 not out against Maharastra as a night watchman earlier in January this year. Niraj also plays in England and Kenya when off season in India. Niraj's brother Nilesh has also played for Saurastra as an opening left hand batsman and was the captain of the team too. Not many players get in to Indian national side very easy can this young man from Porbandar make his entry in to Indian national side in such a short time after making his debut in first class games ?. We have to wait and see, for time being we wish him all the best for the future.
